This tool does the fiddly part for you: it crops to the exact aspect ratio, resizes to the exact pixel dimensions, and searches for the JPEG quality that lands your file inside the required size range — then tells you plainly whether it succeeded.
A signature photographed or scanned on paper usually picks up an off-white or gray background from the paper and lighting. The cleanup pass estimates that background tone and stretches it toward pure white while keeping the ink dark, which is what most forms expect from a signature image.
Each preset lists the notification it was verified against and the date it was checked. Requirements can change between notification cycles, so always cross-check against the current official notification before submitting — every preset says this explicitly.
